FLOW-XCEL IS THE TRADE NAME OF XZIOX® AND USED TO TREAT PROCESS WATERS AND WASTE WATERS, ESPECIALLY AS PART OF A FRACKING OPERATION.

Chlorine Dioxide based products have been used for many years in removing Biofilm and bacteria blockage in Downhole Wells for the Oil industry.

FLOW-XCEL is a highly effective bactericide for specific Gas and Oil-Field applications when applied at various concentrations. It works for both brine and fresh water systems in the control and abatement of poisonous and corrosive Hydrogen Sulfide Gas (H2S) and the sulfate-reducing bacteria which occur in sub-surface injection wells.

THE PRODUCT

FLOW-XCEL is produced and manufactured for the purpose of resolving specfic needs of the oil and gas insdustry.

The needs were based on three major issues:

  • Bio-film / Bacteria build-up in downhole wells.
  • Sulphur Reducing Bacteria (SRBs) inside pipelines.
  • Oxidation of water for processing.

In each of these situations, compliance and safety issues are an obvious concern. But, bacteria clogging wells has been shown to reduce the flow of oil and thereby making such ventures less profitable.

After years of testing, IWS in partnership with a US based company - American Flo Excel (AFE), have formulated a product that is ideal for bacteria removal without harming piping and valve. Working with pipeline companies, service companies and large fracking operators, FLOW-XCEL has been lab-tested, field demonstrated and used in various areas across both the USA and other countires across the globe.

The below graph shows the Sampling of 8 Wells during 3 months of the Year. In each of the Downhole Wells, Bacteria was reduced and production increased.

HOW IT WORKS:
  • It works by pumping barrels of FLOW-XCEL into the downhole well and under pressure & temperature the bacteria is dissolved.
  • Add suitable concentrations of FLOW-XCEL to the fracking fluid BEFORE it goes down the well ALL water borne bacteria will die.
  • Remains effective for 30 days and hence if we get the dosing levels right downhole or any remaining microscopic bacteria will be dealt with also
  • FLOW-XCEL use can be calibrated for any size oil production or well.
FOCUS:

The main focus of FLOW-XCEL is to remove bacteria and bio-film from downhole wells and eradicate Sulphur Reducing Bacteria (SRBs) from oil pipelines. The technology to do this is well-established in the industry with many competitors. The unique aspect that IWS and AFE brings is the ability to produce a chlorine dioxide product on-site and in batches specific to the needs of the client without needing to build generators. In other words, IWS and AFE have formulated a safe, cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to most of the industries compliance issues.

ADDITIONAL USAGE:

In some applications, FLOW-XCEL will be useful to treat process waters and discharge waters, especially as part of a fracking operation. The fracking sector in the US has been one of AFE's biggest sectors. The volume of water used by our clients requires a stable, pure product (unlike generator-based systems) to oxidize bacteria and algae and to remove iron and magnesium.
