‘Centre of Excellence for Regulation and Product Safety’
A cross-company forum that reviews compliance with regulations and laws and fosters best practices across the company
IWG exercises an uncompromising policy: full compliance with any relevant law; including, among other statutes, regulations, treaties and standards. As a water technology company, we are required to comply with regulations and laws that apply to the entire life cycle of the products.
This includes laws enacted to protect the health of employees and public laws which regulate chemicals such as: classification, packaging and labelling, provision of health and safety information to users and employees in the form of a safety data sheets (SDS) or an equivalent document, registration of chemical products for sale in the relevant countries.
Overall, IWG is now well positioned in this growing international market. This is especially the case since the government and other regulatory bodies such as DEFRA and the Soil Association in the UK and the National Sanitation Foundation, (now NSF International) in the US, are increasingly focusing upon certification programmes that help to protect the world’s food, water and the environment.
IWG also ensures its compliance to specific rules and regulations which apply to our line of business, directly or indirectly via our customers; for example regulations which relate to food and cosmetic ingredients, environmental impact (air, water and soil) and end-of-life recycling (such as electronic and electrical equipment and plastic).
The company also operates a ‘Centre of Excellence for Regulation and Product Safety’, a cross-company forum that reviews compliance within regulations and laws and fosters best practices across the company. Regulatory requirements have become increasingly strict all over the world. We use the best and most economically viable technologies to comply with these requirements.
