The main issue faced by us and everyone else in our industry is not just simply solving a water problem; it is solving this problem in a way that does not cause issues further along the water chain. A good example of this is one of our main functions - the replacement of pesticides in field crops (all pesticides, in almost all regulated areas of the world, will be banned in the forthcoming years). Due to the fact that pesticides have long term damaging effects to the soil the crops are grown in, to the water associated with the crops via precipitation or irrigation which carries the damaging pesticides into the water table and hence into our rivers, lakes and oceans. This in turn affects the environment and attached ecosystems and ultimately the health of all living organisms. Our pesticide replacement products have zero detrimental effect on the environment.
Plastic pollution has become such a huge problem affecting worlds oceanic ecosystems and ultimately our and the worlds’ health. Important is to note is that not just water issues are solved through our products, for example:
We can create bacteria free, cost effective water that is fed to livestock, negating the need to treat livestock with antibiotics to fight the bacteria created due to their consumption of contaminated water. The necessity to cleanse livestock disappears due to the bacteria free water, resulting in healthier animals that no longer need antibiotics in the first place. This is of critical importance, as illustrated by the huge publicity surrounding new strains of bacteria in humans. The World Health Organisation and the United Nations are researching the issues as human antibiotics are proving less than useful against new evolving bacteria which has proven to be resistant to current antibiotics because of their overuse in livestock and therefore human consumption. Many human diseases such as Malaria and Gonorrhoea have mutated and are now resistant to current antibiotics having a devastating effect on populations hit by outbreaks. We are simply not prepared for these new modern-day diseases and many in the scientific community are terrified of a major epidemic outbreak somewhere in the world. The use of our products to treat the water used by livestock eliminates this huge potential disaster at the source.
So why is there a shortage of drinking water?
We are running out of drinking water due to the exceptional growth of the world population which is estimated to double in the next thirty years. 97% of the planets water is salty sea water and 2% are caught up in the polar icecaps, glaciers and in the air as precipitation water vapour. We can only therefore ever access 1% of the water availability for consumption. Unsustainable industrial, commercial and domestic behaviour on a worldwide basis, global warming and environmental changes are wreaking havoc with our ecosystems with huge consequential effects to the all of the planets' water tables. We are slowly and thoughtlessly condemning ourselves, to a thirsty future.
Of the 1% availability, 85% are utilized for agriculture, 10-12 % are used in industry and only 2-3% are used for human consumption (drinking, cooking, washing and cleaning). Those 2-3% of the 1% available are being contaminated at an alarming rate due to all the reasons we all know about but mostly ignore.

We, as a species, have 2-3% out of 1% of the worlds’ water supply to keep us sustained and alive. That's approximately 0.025% of the total supply of water available to us, all over the world and we are contaminating that tiny percentage on an exponentially and unsustainable basis as industries and commerce continue to pollute it at an alarming rate.
To add to this mindless race of mutual destruction we also need consider global warming and climate change as this is having a major effect on our 0.025% by the way of drying up of aquifers and the increasing contamination of water stock by algae, pathogens and microorganisms that thrive in warmer conditions.
